So after a long battle (not as long as some I know) but after 2 years I am
in court next week for final hearings for
residence and
ancillary relief. The whole experience has been an eye
opener that is for sure. It would seem that you can tell
CAFCASS that you can work from home in order to gain
shared residence for your kids, but then for
ancillary relief you can say that you are taking a drop
in wages to compensate for the additional hours looking after your
children. That then means you can live in a 4 bed house in a nice area,
and your ex wife can live in a 3 bed in a ***** area.
Who knows
what the outcome will be ? At the end of the day, I will no longer be
married to someone who can stoop to levels lower than I could ever have
imagined. Myself and immediate family can hopefully move on from this
whole sorry mess.
Sorry, not a great post, but I need to let
off steam and really feeling the stress of leading up to final hearings
after a dreadful couple of years.
He won't win - whatever the
financial outcome as I will have a future without him.
