Hi. Just spent an extremely stressful day having an interview.
Had a good lesson and interview(despite the fact that there was an hour lunch-break between the 2)and felt positive.
But it was not to be.
The better part of me says congrats to the successful candidate but the other part says it sucks!(Especially as the panel couldn't answer one of my curriculum questions about a newly implemented Literacy strategy ...that the panel had never heard of!)
Feedback was good but I just need a break!
Oh well... onwards and upwards.

But take the positives from this - you bested the panel with your better and up-to-date knowledge, and you did receive good feedback. You will get that break, believe in yourself, and it will happen.

I don't have a dollar, but will send you my best wishes for your next a(and last!) interview.

Are you currently doing supply? that may help you get your foot in the door?

Keep on going. It's hard work getting a job and it takes skill and determination. You'll do it.

Sorry to hear about the result.

If you can be satisfied with your performance amidst everything else that is happening then you should be resolutely proud of yourself for having gone through something that is always incredibly stressful.

Coming out of an unsuccessful interview myself a year ago I thought to myself, 'well, whatever that experience was, I now know I could handle that one, which means I can handle other ones too'.

The fact that you felt the teaching and interview went well and the feedback was positive means that you are on the right track.

I guess you have to accept that your name wasnt on that job.Just take forward the positives from the situation and next time fingers crossed the job yours.
