Hi,
Debts and Assets all go into a marital pot to be discussed
and agreed over, usually through effective
mediation. The points you mention should be
agreed mutually and drafted into a
consent order. This is rubber stamped by the courts and
is then legally binding.
Not surw what stage of divorce you
are at but a
consent order is what you need. Whose name are the
debts in? joint or sole>? this also needs to be considered.
You mention a 50/50 split. Well the starting point for a relatively short
marriage without children will be just that...its down to you both to TRY
and be amicable and agree fair splits of everything...if you cant then
sadly it ends up costing alot of money, where courts become involved
