Nerves kicking in - Final Hearing imminent ....

Ok - nerves really kicking in now and have last minute panic over final hearing for ancillary relief that I may not have prepared enough. I have a barrister with me - will I put under pressure to answer questions. Whats happens at a final hearing - help - anyone please ???

Don't know about you but it has been such a long time coming - countless court appearances, £$£"%$"£% of pounds, I've had to leave the FMH and here I am ........ 2 years later. Still sane - just but totally shocked at the whole experience - men are from mars ...........

I honestly thought we were both good parents and at the end of the day we would work together for the best of our kids - ummm - how wrong I was.

You live and learn - I have found out who my true friends are, and actually met some lovely people along the way. I have also found out I am stronger than I thought and maybe STBX has as well (umm maybe not - he stills talks down to me, and dictates like he always has)some things will never change !

our exes or stbx sound like two peas in a pod.

It's hard isn't it. You sound a bit like me too, in that every time you feel like you are going to crumble you find the strength from somewhere. I really hope you get what you deserve

Thought I would wish you well for your forthcoming FH..Just stay focused on you and your childrens needs and you will be fine.

I felt as you do...unprepared and nervous of the unknown, however, it soon turned itself around. I also had a barrister and my solicitor with me.

I am in no way saying it was an easy or pleasant three days, the complete oppisite in fact, however, when the other party tells outright lies and shouts and bangs on the table etc.etc. I gained strength from within myself, I just thought this is your last time, I will take control of this situation now, and did all I could to help my children, and self and stayed focused, truthfull, and calm. The other party was requested to leave by the judge on a few occassions along with his legal team...to calm and compose themselves. Hold on to your own truth and your dignity and all will work out just fine.

Hope it goes well - mine is also looming and the anxiety is kicking in big time.

Can you also let me know how it goes and I'll do the same?? If nothing else it will be interesting to see the different results in different parts of the country.
