4 & and half yaers and we have shared residence

i have to write this to thank everyone on Wikivorce for theri help and support over the years, without the help and guidance of u guys we wouldnt be where we are today

We to court on Monday and was granted shared residence and man have we faught tooth and nail for this - its been hard and emotional all the way through

So glad we took Wiki's advise a few years ago to self rep as was costing us a fortune and since we have self repped we have had even more sucess than our solicitor could have done..... in 2 years solicitor got us 2 days evey other weekend and we have got out self shared residence, a specific issue order.

We now have child a week at a time, have to say CAFCASS have been good and did a report on us ( although this was due on November and they forgot to do this) went to court monday without the report so CAFCASS officer turned up and advised the report had been done but was 'lost' they sk2 ex and said that if she didnt agree to shared residence they where putting it in a court order as had a feelings and wishes report done and child advised wanted to live with us half the time


I cant believ that finally after 4 and a half long years this is finally over, i would never have thought 4 years ago that i would have achieved so much and the makority is through the great help and support on this amazing website.

I just want to say however its a disgrace its taken 4.5 years.It shouldnt take that long for anyone.

Brilliant news and inspires people like me with Directions on Tues.

CAFCASS did their pre-directions call with me yesterday and they have indicated that even at directions they think the court will be looking to increase the children's overnights as ex has reduced them more since the C100 went in.

Sorry - got sidetracked.

Well done but I do hope that it won't take me 4.5 years....
