Re:cohabitation

i am currently going thru a divorce . i have moved out and my wife soon to be ex wife is cohabiting with her boyfriend plus my 2 boys are also living there . once the divorce is finalised what happens to my share of the house . will they have to buy me out

It's not that simple to answer. If you provide more detail on ages, length of marriage, children and ages, assets, pensions, income needs and income of both parties etc. Knowledgeable peeps may be able to offer some help.

i have been married for 21 years , there is about 4 years leaft on the mortgage payments . my 2 boys are 7 and 14 . she now has a boyfriend living with her . the decree nisi will be declared on the 30th of January. the boys will live with her at the house . im not sure on what savings we have as she done all the financial side she worked in a bank . my youngest said to me last night that while they where on holiday last year there mum said about having a step dad so i dont know if they are going to or planning to be married . i have sent her the consent order fact finder form , i am also in a realtion ship and live with her at the weekends and i pay rent during the week . thanks for any advice or help

Who will keep any equity in the house will all depend on the asset split agreed on financial settlement and this will be determined by need and affordability. She has the children so will require a home suitable for them. Is there a mortgage? will she be able to afford a mortgage etc. It is difficult to say more on the information provided.

yes there is a mortgage on the property . 4 years left to go . she possibly could afford it she has also got her boyfriend living there to so if he is living there he would be able to contribute financially . i am speaking to my solicitor tomorrow in regards to the financial settlement as i have not got any idea on whats what and how to go about it
