Well we were together 21 years( married 15)..Happily as far as I knew...but a year ago he went on a business trip, came back and said he had been unfaithful to me...it totally floored me...he then proceeded to say how sorry he was, he would never do anything like that again, he didn't know why he had done it...yadda yadda...
So, although being totally faithful to him for all those years and fidelity being very important to me in a relationship, i tried to logically think through the situation...and came to the conclusion that noone had died,it wasn't an affair and just a 'one off' and everyone deserved a second chance....
Move on a year...we were on holiday( third day), and I read an email to a woman he had gone out with 25 years ago,( who was apparently the 'love of his life', and telling her he had never loved me), and now we have been separated for 2 months...
So my answer is....NOONE deserves even a second chance...once a cheat always a cheat, and if he ever wanted to come back, however much I'm physically and emotionally hurting right now, I could never ever put myself all through this again with him...because I know for a fact it would happen again, and I know I don't deserve this...
