Re:deduction from wages

Hi my employer has received a so called order or rather a request for deductions from my salary. I have supplied all infor to the CSA as required and also ticked the pay weekly box. So why have they contacted my employer, today i have now received a letter from the CSA stating we have agreed to pay from salary but this isnt the case i have not agreed this course of action.
Where do i stand and how should i deal with this i wish to pay direct to my STBX or by weekly instalments,

Ring CSA and see if they will agree to you setting up a standing order from your bank account to STBX's rather than direct from salary - sounds like she went straight to them rather than giving you the option of a private agreement. Or has this already been an issue. Speak to your employers pay dept too - they will be used to dealing with this and may be able to put the process on hold while you sort out an alternative. Have you spoken to sol yet?

You will need to speak to the csa as they usuially only do direct from pay if there's been defaults in the past and the other parent has requested it.

However it could aso be because you've requested to pay weekly and they don't collect on that basis. My ex is paid weekly and has been told that she has to pay monthly via her bank account or if weekly has to be payroll and her employer then send the money to the csa at periodic intervals.

So your options will probably be (you will need to ring them though):

Private arrangement direct with your ex excluding the csa as they won't get involved.

Weekly via payroll.

Monthly via your bank account by direct debit.

I am seeing a solicitor on Wednesday and am attending mediation on Thursday hope to get it sorted Thursday if not i will write a letter and am going to ask for an appeal i believe they have calculated the wrong sum as i do not earn net per month what they are quoting me in their letter.

I suppose i was lucky, my ex agreed to me paying her direct instead of involving CSA.
I still thought you had the choice unless she is actually against it and wants to use the CSA?
Surely she has to supply a reason to them as to why she won't go down the more sensible private agreement route.

My ex didnt pay the maintance for dd so csa did a deductions of earnings and as he gets paid weekly the csa collect weekly and i get paid weekly.
This was the only way that the csa could get any money from him as he didnt want to pay

I was able to change my payments from monthly to weekly. I get paid weekly so it is a lot easier for me. I rang the CSA and they changed it no problem and sent me out a new schedule detailing my weekly payments. No problem at all.
