After my husband left over a year ago ,I have been living on what I can
take from the business and £200 per month WTC...then I met my new partner,
he had a good job and we agreed that he would move in with me..a couple of
days after he moved in with me he was told that the contract where he
worked was coming to an end and there were going to be pay offs, just our
luck he was one of the first to go..He applied for Jobseekers allowance and
I got the WTC raised to £380 per month, the business is running at a
loss. He got a letter back from DWP saying that he wasn't entitled to
contribution based JSA as he hadn't paid enough NI contributions,
he can't get income based JSA because he is living with me and I
work more than 20 hrs per week, is there anything else we can claim as I
can't afford to take much from the business...
