Some of you lovely wiki people asked me to report back about my time at the Sci-fi weekender. So here goes.... First of all the train journey, 9 hours of it.. I kid you not, it was a long journey indeed. But upon boarding the train at Wolverhampton I met up with some friends from the Robert Rankin Fanclub, The Order Of The Golden Sprout. That made the four hour journey through Wales more like fun than sitting on my own. And of course we chatted, talked toot and joked endlessly. Arrived at the Haven resort at about 5:30. Decided to take today by the scruff of the neck! It's grey and miserable outside but I intend to go swimming (pool not sea- I'm not that daft)and a local car boot sale is on. Hardly any money (no change there then!) but I may find some bargains. Spent yesterday in "woe is me mode" and it made me feel crap so enough! Time to get out there again and push forward. Today I weigh 13 stone 7 pounds, so have lost 4 pounds from last week. That's more than I would like in one week so I hope it stays off by next week. Still, that means I've lost 2 stone since I separated from the ex, almost exactly a year ago. Things may be so much harder now (financially and parentally) but my life is much better without her. I did two 5 km runs this week, one on Monday (30:37) and one on Friday (29:51). Now that I've managed to get under 30 minutes I'm going to ease up a little bit for the next two weeks and stay at that level rather than trying to improve any
