It was only through the experience of my separation and divorce that I began to realise what anxiety felt like for me and how it affected my life. I believe there is always a natural anxiety in all of us and it usually sits 'in the background' acting as one of our natural barometers controlling how we react and respond to things. Its actually there to help us to survive. I think its important to recognise this higher level of anxiety that we feel as a new part of our lives at least until it settles down or reduces to its more usual level.
