Just realised i havent blogged since last august when my divorce came through. I had just come back from a lovely holiday in turkey wirh my daughter. Just starting to get back to some kind of (normal ) life to find out in november i had breast cancer. since then had two operations and going to have radiotherapy soon. I know i am lucky they caught it early. and i have a very good prognosis. The hardest thing has been the lack of any empathy or support from my x. I am officially divorced as from july 28th. The absolute came in the post this morning, thought i would feel sad but i dont, just relieved and free. Strange being single at the age of 51 after getting married at 30. I think i feel better because whatever he does now is truly not my problem. Hi fathers day got me thinking how does my ex feel today, he may actually remember his kids for a moment. Since we seperated 22 months ago he hasnt had much time for them. Sees his son maybe once or twice a month for an hour or two and my daughter still hasnt spoken to him for 22 months now, i think its sad that those relationships have changed for ever and he will live to regret it . I tried to keep some sort of relationship with my mother in law going but again it has all been one sided so i have given up on her. How our lives change? i wouldnt have believed it.
