It has been a long time since I came on here, but I hope this blog might help others realise that life does get better.

It is now over three years since I asked my ex for a divorce. Just before Christmas maybe I should have waited until afterwards but something snapped in me and I just couldn't take anymore. He was a bully and a control freak and spoke to my two cats in a nicer way than he ever did me. Of course he would deny that. I know I wasnt perfect but then who is?

Once I had asked for the divorce I made the decision that I would move away when the divorce was over and the house sold. 

Yesterday it was two years to the day that I told my ex that I wanted a divorce and last night at last I was able to tell my daughter exactly what he used to do to me. We both cried our eyes out. If she were to ever confront him he would deny it all. That's his problem I know it happened and I'm the one who has to live with it.

Because of this over the last week I have put my new relationship under a lot of pressure the guy is still around but for how much longer I'm not sure. If I want him to stay around I have to leave the past behind and trust him. Easier said than done.  I have mental

Today my daughter and I are off Christmas shopping in her favourite shop.

Last time we went there was for her 18th birthday treat, I hadn't been in my new home very long and was still trying to complete my exams so that I could start up my little business. 

Today I go as a business woman in my own right. I'm not the ex's wife I am ME...... I have also been asked to apply tobecome a member of the board of an educational institution where I now live and my application is being considered. never even expected to get that far.
