I feel I must let you know that finally  after 2 1/2 years its all done. Financial matters finally agreed and approved in Court last week.  Quite surprisingly no Final Hearing needed, agreed before FDR and then FDR hearing used to get Consent Order approved.  Decree Absolute granted last year so now finally sorted.

It is a mighty relief to have it all completed.   So to all of you part way through or starting out on this rocky road then hang in there, its not fun and it can feel like a very long tunnel, with no light at the end but eventually you will get there.  It does get better

Thought that those who remember me might like to know the latest in the saga.  Since my last update the FDR was cancelled.  Why?  She produced her 3rd child a month early 5 days before FDR due so solicitor advised (and I had to agree) that FDR should be postponded.  Only another 3 month wait then for next available appointment.  Think that FDR is a waste of time, and should apply straight for Final Hearing now to get up the queue a bit.

So poor child born premature and quite underweight (due almost entirely to alcohol consumption during pregnancy I am informed)  It is likely to have suffered

Can't believe it is over 6 months since I last wrote on this.

So what has happened, children still with me every night of the week and they see their mother one night a week and on Sundays.  She has since become pregnant to someone else and has moved some 10 miles away.  Her alcohol intake hasn't changed so real concerns for the unborn child now.

 We have the decree absolute  through but have not finalised financial matters and are going to FDR in November.  Trying to have the house valued at the moment as it is now empty and neither of us want to live in it!!  How bizarre when we spent over 12
